AT ENACTUS WE BELIEVE INVESTING IN STUDENTS WHO TAKE ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTION FOR OTHERS CREATES A BETTER WORLD FOR US ALL.

Across 33 countries, 72,000 Enactus university students on 1,730 campuses are actively living as entrepreneurial, values-driven social innovators. Their commitment to action and outcomes is positively impacting the lives of 1.3 million people each year.

In the UK & Ireland alone, our 4,000+ students in over 70 universities collaborate with leading academics, alumni, and business advisors from over 20 leading companies to create hundreds of student-led businesses, impacting over 12,000 lives each year.

At Enactus we live our values of integrity, innovation, collaboration and passion. Enactus is open to ALL students regardless of background, degree subject, speciality, or anything else. We’re proud of our diversity as a network and are united by our common goal to create a better more sustainable world for us all.

How does Enactus benefit your institution?

GRADUATE OUTCOMES

Through a project based learning approach, Enactus UK & Ireland students engage in meaningful social action and social enterprise projects supporting their personal and professional development. Combined with extensive employability support, exclusive fast-track graduate opportunities and coaching and mentoring allocated from our fantastic partners, our Enactus students have proven to have a higher application to hire ratio in comparison to the average UK & Ireland graduate.

STUDENT SATISFACTION

When students actively participate in an Enactus society, it has been proven by recent Universum studies that their overall University experience increases. Creating meaningful impact in their local communities, developing knowledge, skills and behaviours to enhance employability and building long last relationships - what’s not to love!

SUPPORTING SUSTAINABILITY

Jointly published by QAA and Advance HE, the ‘Education for Sustainable Development Guidance’ provides a framework and guidance to help staff in UK & Ireland higher education institutions incorporate Education for Sustainable Development within their curricula. As part of this, Enactus UK & Ireland was cited as a platform to support students in establishing ventures that have a sustainability purpose as their primary goal. This is just the start! Enactus UK & Ireland has supported higher education institutions to develop, build and execute their own sustainability and CSR goals. An example of which was recently mentioned in the Middlesex University London UN SDG Report here.

SUPPORTING ACADEMICS WITH PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Without question, the driving force behind an Enactus team is the University Advisor. In order to be recognised by Enactus UK & Ireland, each team must have at least one - but what we find is more often than not, teams have 2, 3, 4 even 5+ advisors as it is such a fantastic opportunity for University staff to get involved and support in the development of the next generation of responsible leaders.

Many of our University Advisors have used their Enactus experience to assist in their EEUK fellowship application and build a network of like-minded people in other institutions.
